Are you Obese?

Have you ever contemplated the reasons for your increasing visits to the doctor? Or for that matter, have you ever made an effort to evaluate the fats and carbohydrates you take in daily?

Yes, the fats and carbohydrates in your diet that you take in daily do provide you the energy for the daily routine work but if taken in excess or the ones that you take in unconsciously could do more of harm than good. A human body is always prone to the fatal diseases, overweight and obesity.

Although two terms wise apart, overweight and obesity are the two of the root causes for the untimely deaths in the world. The scenario is equally worse in both developed and developing economies.

As is being researched, there is an extensive range reasons for the increasingly growing numbers of obese people across the globe. The biological reasons for this include the declining metabolic rate, endocrinal glands and hereditary factors. The human body tends to slow down after 30s and as a result the metabolic processes, essentially digestion, too start declining. The body weight tends to increase disproportionately to the height of the person. The failure of the endocrinal gland called thyroid to secrete the correct amounts of the thyroxin too leads to obesity. Heredity, too, is an inevitable biological reason. Erroneous eating habits like over-eating, eating junk and excessively oily food and the increased frequency of intake to leads to the accumulation of excessive fat. The increasing propensity of taking intoxicants and drugs and being a couch potato too leads to the fatal disease.

The symptoms include easy fatigue, lack of freshness, passiveness, weakening muscles etc. Postural deformities like bow legged, flat foot, knock knees etc occur often.

The ailing effects on the human body could prove be very critical. Arthritis and joint pains are common to obese individuals. The chance of heart attack and other cardiac problems increases. Obese individuals suffer from an abnormally high or low blood pressure. The risk of diabetes increases manifold. In the worst cases, the memory too fades away slowly.

Hence is very necessary to observe their symptoms at an early stage and avoid them causing a severe threat to the health of an individual. Make a proper diet chart and follow it honestly. Consult a height-weight chart, check your weight regularly and monitor the irregularities. Better be safe than regretting later!

Blame Weight Gain on Partner

Several reports on health indicate that the weight gain or loss that a woman incurs is not because she is too lazy to go to the gym or is not eating enough, but is dependent on how happy her partner is keeping her! In the early days of their relationship, when the woman is out to get her man or the man is courting her, women stick to a strict diet and therefore look slimmer and trimmer. However, after a woman starts getting comfortable with her partner, then such regimes are normally thrown to the winds. Around the time of the wedding, a woman goes on a stricter diet plan in order to look her best for the wedding. The arrival of the baby turns the table upside down. Some women no longer bother about their dress size after this, but there are others who obsessively cut down on their weight.

Research states that there are five stages of weight fluctuation which may vary of course as much as an additional 15 kg, or its loss! Probably if women looked after themselves as well as they do in the courtship stage, they would remain healthier and slimmer as it all turns the tables to emotions. Perhaps women should be as excited about the relationship as they were in the initial stages to really take care of their weight issues.
