Pop diva Whitney Houston has stormed back into the music world with her latest album “I Look to You” which according to analysts is ready top the Billboard 200 chart this week.

Whitney Houston’s latest album is expected to sell over 200,000 copies this week according to Billboard figures. “I Look to You” is Houston’s first album in seven years and comes two years after her divorce. On September 1 she performed a song from the album on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ at Rumsey Playfield, Central Park in New York. Her first television performance in seven years was discussed for the way she was left breathless after the first song. Viewers also saw her straining to reach the higher notes of the four-segment song on the TV show.

However leaving such initial hiccups aside, Whitney is racing to top the Billboard 200 chart this week which if achieved will be a remarkable feat considering she is up against current teen sensation Miley Cyrus. Miley’s new CD, “The Time of Our Lives” released last week and has already sold 62,000 copies. Miley’s album may see restricted sales to some extent since the CD is being exclusively sold at Wal-Mart outlets and was out in racks much ahead of schedule.

The Teen Choice Awards given out on Sunday night saw Twilight rake in the biggest number of film honors while pop singers Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brothers took home the most number of trophies.

Twilight won in nine out of the twelve categories it had been nominated for, thus beating Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire and its leading actors. Besides Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart winning kudos for best leading performances, Twilight also won awards for best romance, liplock, villain as well as fresh face female and fresh face male.

However, the pop star who swept the Teen Choice Awards was teen icon Miley Cyrus who bagged six awards in categories like best comedy TV show for Hannah Montana, best music single for “The Climb”, best summer song for “Before the Storm” as well as for best comedy actress and best music/dance actress. T the awards event Miley also performed “Party in the USA” and later presented pop singer Britney Spears with the Ultimate Choice Awards.

The Teens Choice Awards were held on Sunday at the Universal Studios’ Gibson Amphitheatre. Popular band Jonas Brothers hosted the awards event and also performed “Much Better” besides taking away five awards including those of male red carpet icons and best breakout television show.
