Teen-ache
Owing to the various psychological, physiological, emotional and behavioral changes that a body undergoes during the teenage, it is considered as one of the most struggling phase of a child development process.
Low self- esteem, teenage depression and violence, lack of ambition in life, emotional strains, dissatisfactions with life, possessiveness, depression, eating disorders, poor performance, social isolation and shyness, chronic health issues, sexual maltreatment, substance abuse are just some of the issues that young people struggle with.
Their altering moods and attitudes become much of a problem both for themselves and for others around. It’s a stage that includes many arguments with the elders, authorities especially. Wanting a free atmosphere, they find it most difficult to adjust with others. However the friends gain utmost importance in their life. Addiction to media too leaves a disruptive impact on adolescents, who get inclined towards day dreaming and making unrealistic assumptions. However the biggest problem arises due the clash of their king sized egos. And most of the times, parents are the one at the receiving ends.
A careful treatment, independent atmosphere, psychological and sex education and vocational guidance can help in the effective management of teenache!
