Protect Overstraining Eyes from computer
With the commencement of technological period, computers have occupied almost every single desk across the planet. These machineries are counted amongst the few top reasons for causing eye problems. Working for long hours in front of the computers without breaks can very easily cause strain on our eyes and body too resulting in a condition called computer fatigue syndrome.
Computer users also end up evolving short term dry eyes-caused due to reduced average blinking time observed mostly in computer savvy people. Long exposure of eyes to computers can have adverse negative effects on the user such as myopia, farsightedness, astigmatism, eye-focusing disorders and poor eye coordination. The effects is not only on the eyes but also results into neck and shoulders stiffness, severe headaches causing pain in jaw (referred to TMJ or temporomandibular joint).
Eyestrain, blurred vision, dizziness or nausea, difficulty concentrating, red, dry or burning eyes, change in color perception, excessive fatigue, eye-teaming problems and/or occasional double vision and slow refocusing are few blessing bestowed on us while using computers. But those who earn their daily wages cannot leave the desk to avoid the consequences.
Best way is to take breaks at regular intervals, adjusting the contrast of the screen according to eyes, adjusting colors, using non-reflective interfaces and practicing exercises for eyes may help a lot.
