Says Ileana "This piece is part of a series in which I depict the chair as the main subject. Most of my imagery is figurative. The challenge for me was to create an abstract image that continued to project a "presence" without having to include a human form. The background and text adds depth to the piece and allows the viewer to reach his or her own personal interpretation. "
